Primary Function
The primary function of the respiratory system is supplying oxygen to the blood to keep it working properly. It does this by breathing. Breathing is inhaling oxygen and exhaling carbon dioxide. This is basically achieved by using the organs of the system including the mouth, nose, larynx, trachea, and lungs which contain alveoli.
